Party Pleasing Drinks

For a family and friends Holiday party, here are some recipes for three drinks that even children can have.

Recipe #1

Rosy Holiday Punch

This drink, made in a punch bowl is a mixture of sweet and tart fruit juices. Garnish the top of the punch with thinly sliced orange slices.

1 bottle (128 ounces of cranberry juice (chilled)

1 carton (64 ounces) of orange juice (chilled)

5 cups of water

4 cups of pineapple juice (chilled)

3 1/4 cups of sugar

3/4 cup lemon juice (fresh or real lemon juice from bottle)

Simply add all the ingredients to a large punch bowl. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

This will yield 34 servings (8 quarts) in punch bowl cups.

Recipe # 2

Pineapple Punch with Pizzazz!!

Just like the previous recipe, this one does not use soda; instead tea is one of the main ingredients. It is a wonderful recipe that you may want to make year after year.

3 lemons cut in half

6 cups of water

2 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract

4 tea bags

4 cups boiling water

2 cans (46 ounces each) of unsweetened pineapple juice

First of all, squeeze juice from the lemons into a small bowl; set aside. Place the lemon halves in a large pot; add water and sugar, and bring to a full boil. Continue to boil for 5 minutes. Remove pot form heat and throw away lemons. Next, stir in both extracts and reserved lemon juice.

Add the tea bags to boiling water, and let steep in boiling water for 5 minutes. Finally, sitr the tea and pineapple juice into the lemon mixture. Serve over ice. Garnish with mint.

This recipe takes a little time but is well worth it once it's done. You will get about 20 servings (5 quarts) from this drink.

Recipe # 3

Festive Berry Delight

This last drink is ideal served with homemade baked goodies. It pours up frothy, then separates into a dark pink base with a lighter foamy top.It has a light tart taste.

8 cups cranberry juice (chilled)

1 quart vanilla ice cream (soft)

1 pack (10 ounces) frozen, and sweetened sliced strawberries. Thawed and pureed

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups heavy whipping cream (whipped)

4 cups ginger ale (chilled)

In a large bowl combine the cranberry juice, ice cream, strawberries, sugar and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth, and sugar is fully dissolved. Fold in the whipped cream and slowing add ginger ale. Pour into glasses. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired, and serve right away. (Wow that was quick.) This drink also yields about 20 servings (5 quarts).

If your reading this, I hope you try at least one of these drink recipes. You won't be disappointed......Merry Christmas...Happy Holidays...Happy Kwanzaa..or whatever your celebration of choice is; Peace to you all .

Hello Research Analyst, thanks for the comments. Yes they are all so refreshing and tasty. For an adult party you can even spike it up a little and they will still be great!
